I know when I finish reading an incredible book, I'm looking for more.
I'm looking for those author interviews, extra chapters, anything additional referring to that great book.
Michael Grant had the same idea.
I recently got an e-mail that told me of Michael Grant's new series, Go BZRK.
Yes, he's writing a hard copy of the book, but there will also be add-ons to the book, and
websites that put you in the world of Go BZRK.
This is the way Jennifer, the woman who e-mailed me about this, described Go BZRK.
The missing son of a U.N. diplomat... the reemergence of a strange organization... a pair of society twins caught in the middle... this is just the beginning of "Go BZRK," a new transmedia experience from author Michael Grant.
Transmedia, being interactive through the web, puzzles and more.
Here some snippets of an interview with Michael Grant regarding the new book and transmedia:
On Transmedia: Most people take a single story and reproduce it on various platforms. My philosophy has been to make each element - ARG, app, web, book - a thing unto itself, each revealing some aspect of the world of BZRK.
On Length of Project: There'll be a lot of content coming out, but the experience really gets underway at the end of the month… just in time to distract the kids from their schoolwork.
On 'BZRK':t's a battle for the soul and freedom of the human race carried out simultaneously in the world we know, and in a world that you're not going to expect. It's a world where if you make a false move, you're going to lose your mind.
In Conclusion, It's going to be vast, bloody, and beautiful. There are some websites out now that are tied in with the novel:
http://nexushumanus.com/ and http://societytwins.com/
Nexus Humanus, from what I understand, is a way to unify everyone. The slogan is:
"World Peace, Sustainable Happiness, One Life at a Time."
You get H-Creds, or Happiness Creds, when you do certain things, like make an account and recruit friends.
Here is my account. (Lemme know if that link works)
There's a countdown on the homepage, which counts down to a "journey of a lifetime."
Society Twins is the blog of two girls who live in the world of BZRK.
Their brother is the one who is missing.
Reading the comments are fun. I'm not sure if they are included in this interactive world, or they're actual people.
I haven't watched the videos yet, but I'll let you know what they're about and how they are.
I guess this could be a Waiting of Wednesday also, since I'm really interested in this book,
and the publishers put a lot of thought and hardwork into these websites and such.
And it seems so AWESOME!
I'll be exploring both websites later. Let me know if you find anything!
cool blog :)
